Health like nature is not a static thing. It is an ever-changing, evolving state which takes on both the negative and positive aspects of forces in our life. Exposure to a virus or bacteria doesn’t always lead to illness but it often can. Similarly, stress and the feeling of being overwhelmed can diminish the body’s immune system to the point of making us more susceptible to illness. It is difficult to achieve true wellness without a genuinely, healthy attitude. And a healthy attitude is closely tied in with true wellness.

To know how to advocate for our own health is a learned process. And, often, it helps to have a coach in creating this new state of being. And this is where I come in.

Since beginning my practice in 2005, I have had the satisfaction of providing acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and emotional counseling to hundreds of patients. My treatment approach includes a combination of fact-based current science, coupled with time-tested approaches to health through herbal formulas and advanced acupuncture. The herbal medicines, especially the personalized formulations constructed specifically for your condition, have helped patients achieve either complete relief of their symptoms or continued improvements.  I have witnessed this countless times. Through our regular communication and my guidance, patients feel supported and more connected.

Bio
I earned a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine (M.S.O.M), from The Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine and I am licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine. I also hold a master level reiki certification and often will employ reiki during acupuncture sessions.  I am among only a handful of licensed practitioners internationally to hold an herbal Dermatology certification, a rigorous 2-year study and testing process with one of the foremost leaders in the field, Dr. Mazin Al-Khafaji. Moreover, I have completed an intensive training on “Acupuncture for the Cancer Patient” at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital in New York City.   My experience and specialties include oncology support, dermatology, fertility, gastro-intestinal health, addiction and pain management. My passion is to assist my patients to enhance their knowledge of integrating current western medical practices and Eastern medicine.
